We're particularly proud of our ENRICHMENT GRANTS which provide financial support for current OPRFHS students to enroll in special summer programs that they might otherwise be unable to afford.

In 2003, our first year, a grant of $3,000 helped 5 students participate in an ecology program in Costa Rica. In 2004, we gave $13,5000 for 35 students to participate in a wide variety of programs including classes at the Art Institute of Chicago, writing & film production courses at Columbia College of Chicago, music camp at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and OPRFHS courses in Math Enrichment, Photography and Marine Biology. 

Through 2009 we have provided over $75,000 to help 140 students participate in exciting academic enrichment programs with another $9,500 to subsidize 165 additional students in Math & English summer school courses. Your support with a TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION is vital so we can continue this program - make your contributiion to the Alumni Association HERE.

More recently, we've helped students attend writing courses at Southern Illinois University, conservation programs in Tennessee and foreign study in England, Japan, France and Tanzania.

We are supported ENTIRELY by DONATIONS from members, alumni and the community.
