We're particularly proud of our ENRICHMENT GRANTS which provide financial support for current OPRFHS students to enroll in special summer programs that they might otherwise be unable to afford. A donation to the Alumni Association is a wonderful way for alumni to support the educational needs of current students.

In 2003, our first year, a grant of $3,000 helped 5 students participate in an ecology program in Costa Rica and we provided $12,000 - $15,000 each year since. We saw increasing need in 2010 and 2011, and thanks to our very generous donors and members, we provided more than $18,400 to assist 29 OPRFHS students participate in exciting academic programs such as OPRFHS trips to Tanzania, Costa Rica and the Smokey Mountains, courses at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Film Institute, and many others.  

In total we have provided over $120,000 to enable more than 300 students to take a variety of enrichment courses in academic areas. A SUMMARY of our allocations from 2003-2010 can be found HERE.

We are grateful for the support we receive from CLASS REUNION groups. We encourage anyone who is involved in planning a reunion to consider including a donation to the ALUMNI ASSOCIATION as part of your reunion admission charge or taking a special collection of funds to make a donation.

We are supported ENTIRELY by DONATIONS from members, alumni and the community. We are not funded by the high school so your support is vital to enable us to continue our mission.
