1st Annual GOLF OUTING - Wednesday, JUNE 30 |
SAVE THE DATE - WEDNESDAY, JUNE 30! We're planning our FIRST ANNUAL GOLF OUTING and we'd like YOU to join us at GLEN EAGLES GOLF CLUB in Lemont on Wednesday, June 30 for an afternoon of 18 holes of golf followed by a buffet dinner. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. Non-golfers are welcome to join us for the dinner only. The format will be a modified shot-gun with tee-off beginning at 1:15 PM. DISCOUNT for early registration: Register by June 1 and the cost is $150 for 18 holes of golf and a delicious buffet dinner with open bar. If you don't golf, join us for the dinner and pay $65. THANK YOU for your donation! Our Winter 2010 issue of the AlumNews was recently mailed to our donors and members. Printing and mailing costs were underwritten with a generous donation from The FOREST AGENCY INSURANCE of Oak Park who sponsored the newsletter in MEMORY of BILL BROWNE (1922 - 2010). Bill founded the Forest Agency in Oak Park in 1957. It is now owned by his son DAN BROWNE, OPRFHS '74. The Browne family has deep roots in the Oak Park community. Bill's wife Mary(Kirsch) Browne was a member of the OPRFHS class of '40. In addition to their son Dan, other graduates include Bill & Mary's daughters Meredith, Carolyn, Nancy, classes of '69, '70, '77, and grandsons Stephen and Michael, 2007 and 2009. That's quite a Huskie heritage!

Thank you to the Classes of '69, '74, 79 & '84 A number of classes held reunion celebrations over Homecoming weekend and at other times this fall. Several of these classes made donations of reunion proceeds to our Summer Enrichment Grant program. We sincerely appreciate the support of everyone who contributed, particularly those of you in the classes of 1969, 1974, 1979 and 1984. We'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the members of the reunion planning committee for all their efforts and their enthusiasm in supporting current OPRFHS students! We are grateful for this support.

Alumni gathered for a good cause DOOPERFEST in October! More details available HERE!. The DOOPERFEST concert was held as a benefit to support the Gary Olson Scholarship Fund, the Huskie Boosters Club and our SUMMER ENRICHMENT GRANT program.
